Firstly, from the outset, let me declare that I am an amateur musician and in no way claim to be a fully fledged musician, as I have not been through the formal rigorous and disciplined training professional Indian musicians undergo.
I have a passion for Indian classical music and for playing instruments like the sitar, santoor and tabla, and I strive to play like some of the talented musicians, young and old, you will find on the net, esp. YouTube.
So, why this website?
Growing up in a place remote from India, came with its own obstacles in learning to play Indian musical instruments. To get a little way, it took lots more effort, and I wish to share my story in the hope that it will be an inspiration to other music enthusiasts in similar circumstances.
